  1. Women football is still belittled and underrated. Especially at world cup level, it is a joy to watch.
It is not as dynamic as the man’s game but as skilful and competitive.

It is a pity to see that even a third league male footballers earn above averages salaries while the women sector is notoriously underfunded and as a result underdeveloped.

If you can support them in the upcoming world cup in France and watch as many games as you can. If the ratings are good the money for the TV rights will go up, and more funds will be available for the sport.

    1. Hi Martin. I echo your sentiment if it goes the way it’s going then surely the women’s game willl be on equal pay as the men’s, sooner rather than later.

I hope you enjoy watching the tournament. It will be interesting to see who will turn out to the best players at the world.

Thanks for the message. Good luck.

  2. It is not often i read a list of best female footballers and agree with the list. I have enjoyed watching women football games as i love football a lot.

I would be following all of brazil’s games as Marta has always been and would remain my favorite female footballer because of her silky style of play.

    1. Hi thanks for the message.

Let’s see if Marta  can finally drive this Brazil team towards their first World Cup Trophy.

It’s should be a tournament full of thrills and excitement.

When the best players at the World Cup are on show expect their to be fireworks in most games.

Take care and good luck to you.

  3. Interesting article!

I an a bit old school and do not understand why women would like to put themselves through all this, but then sport is sport.  I think one would have to be of medium build to really excel in this kind of sport and looking at the pictures of the wormen here, they seem to be of that build.

I am a slight build and had to work out in the gym for 2 and half months just to put on some muscle and reach 65kg.  So kudos to these women and I especially like the lady from England who is a terror to the rest of the other world football teams!

    Well done!

    1. Hi Stella.  Fitness is key for any sport if you want to play at the highest level.

The Women’s World Cup is no different.

That was the aim of this article to highlight some of the players taking part.

The skills levels they possess are amazing so it should be a fantastic tournament.
